Wealthy Affiliate increased their price because they were going to add new features and make it easier for the beginning affiliate marketer.  I did check out wealthy affiliate last year and was frustrated because I did not see sales in the first couple months that I tried.  I quit and then rejoined when I found out there was going to be a price increase. 

What is new?  The blog and funnel system which allows you to advertise with pay per click advertising!  That is fantastic.  Because I had a blog and funnel all set up, I was able to make a sale the first week!  That was so much better than a couple months of aimlessly writing articles.

Wealthy affiliate has added Wordpress Express.  What is the deal with that?  Why would you add wordpress express?  The main reason is that internet marketing is changing.  Google Adwords no longer allows you to advertise affiliate links for marketing.  Direct linking to an affiliate link is an outdated method of internet marketing.  You will only make sales from the people who read the articles that you write and unfortunately, a small percentage of the people who find your articles and read them actually click through.  Wordpress express allows you to set up a blog, which can be used for pay per click advertising.  Worpress express websites allow you to add content through pages and posts.  You are able to optimize your website and generate traffic using different keyword phrases. 

While creating a blog isn’t very hard, having a tool for the beginner to use will simplify the process.  There are plenty of formats to chose from with blogger.  Setting up a free blog is easy.  The wordpress express websites and blogs will be on your own domain.  It can be difficult to make money with free websites and most experienced internet marketers opt for owning their own domain. 

There are still many other great features to wealthy affiliate.  They have forums where you can bounce ideas off of each other, keyword research tools to locate the hottest products to promote and a host of other things.  You can use wordpress express to make websites, but the feature is not all that innovative.  You will still need to create content.  That is what is really essential to making money online.
